All participating Packs in the Dan Beard District should
obtain a registration sheet form Larry Green or print one from this web site. Complete the form and mail it to the designated
address soon after your Pack Race is complete.

Pack Leaders, please print a copy of the Construction and Race Rules from the
Web Site. Distribute these rules to your cub parents.
Our Derby Staff had to do a bit of re-construction on two cars
last year that failed inspection. It is our goal that every scout have the chance to race. If a boy's pinewood derby car fails
the inspection, our crew will get permission from the boy's adult partner to alter the car, if possible. The most common infraction
is inappropriate axles and/or altered wheel treads. These are obvious violations that should be noticed at your individual
Pack Races. Remember, the pinewood derby kit, which includes a block of wood, plastic wheels, and axles, must
be purchased from BSA distributors. See the construction rules for more details.
The Derby Committee is seeking volunteers to serve on the District
Racing Team. All participating Packs in the District are urged to submit the name and contact number of your local Pack
Derby Committee person. Those in you Pack that have experience inspecting cars will be needed at the race.
